Each Side Gets Creeped Out

It's unfortunate about the YouTube videos out there painting secular spiritual universalists as empty and anti-Christ. This is the snare of duality. These folks claim to be on the side of Christ and anyone who doesn't think the same way about Jesus that they do is anti-Christ and in danger of serving Satan. This paradigm creates the anti-Christ because most secular people are so creeped out by this paradigm that they have a very visceral reaction that borders between fear and violence. The very same reaction can be achieved by landing yourself in a Muslim country and being confronted by Islamic fundamentalists. There way is the only way and if you exhibit infidel characteristics, you will be perceived as anti-Allah and evil. Seeing what Christian and Muslim fundamentalists have done throughout history to non believers seen as evil is enough to scare these secular people and put them on guard.

The fear works the same way on the opposite side of duality too. The recent documentary film Expelled is a perfect example of the fundamentalist Christian fear that atheists are the ones who will become evil. Their seeing what pagans have done throughout history to believers is enough to scare them and put them on guard.

The masters seem to be the ones who start out on one side of the duality and work towards the middle to bridge the two sides. Maybe that's why Eckhart Tolle looks so calm and laid back all the time. Perhaps there are masters who came from the religious side too and have approached the middle ground like Eckhart where the two sides can meet in calm and in peace together amidst the storm of fear and violence raging between the left and right sides.
